Immigration to Australia – General Skilled Migration (GSM)
The most sought-after stream for immigration to Australia is General Skilled Migration. Australia wants to attract highly employable people for migration to Australia in order to plug Australian Skills Shortages. This means, if you are having right credentials and you pass Skilled Migration assessment you and your family members may be granted Australian Permanent Residency. You are not required to get a job offer or to be necessarily employed in your nominated occupation, however you need to demonstrate a good level of English language ability through acceptable test, and be also able to obtain a positive migration skills assessment from an assessing authorityin an eligible occupation.
EASY STEPS TO APPLY FOR AUSTRALIAN SKILLED MIGRATION
You must nominate an occupation that is listed in Medium and Long-term Strategic Skills List (MLTSSL), the Short-term Skilled Occupation List (STSOL) or the Regional Occupation List (ROL). Nominating an occupation is crucial in the process because some occupations may fall under a number of sub-occupations and based on our practice, we may guide you the appropriate occupation that fits your job description. Our consultants will assess your skills and qualifications and advise you for your nominated occupation which best describe your occupation and also available in appropriate skills list. You are required to score minimum 65 points in the Points Test system to be eligible to apply for skilled migration. The points system is based on points for your age, education, English language proficiency and work experience. In addition, your skills are required to be assessed by an Australian Assessing authority as suitable to Australian standards.
After you have received positive skills assessment and for cases related to Skilled Independent visa (subclass 189) – Points-tested stream, we apply for an online expression of interest (EOI) on your behalf with the Australian Department of Home Affairs. It is like an online resume which promotes your skills and qualifications to the Department of Home Affairs. However for cases related to Skilled Nominated visa (subclass 190), we have to apply for an Australian State to sponsor your visa application.
After your successful EOI, we can start your visa application process which will be lodged online directly to department of Home Affairs.
We know that migration isn’t just about documentation, it’s a much more than that. Therefore, we help with clear advice on all you need to know – deciding where to live, finding a job, and settling in.
